The Twain Train is leaving the station…join The Joslyn Castle as they celebrate the launch of their 10th Annual Art and Literary Festival: Celebrating the Life and Works of Mark Twain!
On September 12th at 6pm, join the Joslyn Castle and Metropolitan Community College (Nebraska) for an evening at the Castle celebrating all-things Twain. Sip an Old Fashioned from the cash bar as you enjoy an exhibit of local tin-type photography on display, mingle with characters from “An Evening With Twain,” play croquet on the front lawn…and maybe even compete in the Mark Twain look-a-like contest!* In addition, partake in a tasting of Twain's favorite libation, bourbon, led by Alzuri of Spirit World! The event will be set to the tunes of local bluegrass legends Southpaw BluegrassBand picking us through the night.
This is a free community event for those 21+. Space is limited and registration is required.
*Dress in your finest Mark Twain cosplay for a chance to win two tickets to a performance of "An Evening with Mark Twain!"
